Hey Kids!
I’ve have had an idea to make a Spock/Nimoy tribute for a long time! (long before he passed). When I first heard this song by the great Billie Holiday, I thought it would be perfect backdrop for Spock’s beautiful brown eyes. I’ve combined clips of Mr. Nimoy as Spock and as Paris to make this little tribute. I hope it will bring joy to all who loved him.
It’s called Them There Eyes – In Honor of Leonard Nimoy 1931-2015. Enjoy, Thank you!

Only 5 left! Trek tackles an ageless problem here that still applies today. This episode had a good premise, but could have been executed much better. I give it credit for bringing up the disparity between classes though.

Well, after all these years, I haven’t figured out how 3-D chess works, but it’s nice to know that Mr. Nimoy enjoyed an occasional game of chess like I do!
When’s the last time anyone here has played chess? I love playing it with my sons — dig out the board sometime and see if you still got your winning moves!

Here’s an incredible piece which appears to be from fan fiction by artist June in Blue (thanks for finding that info Karen Bailey Wisecarver!)
Is Kirk dying? Is Spock mind-melding with him? Probably one of the most dramatic pieces I’ve ever seen. Beautiful if sad. The body types and faces of the actors are right on the mark. (And of course Kirk’s shirt is well torn!)

Another episode whose plot was so silly that I couldn’t take this poster too seriously! I found Odona and her father especially grating! At least Spock had some good scenes. Only 7 more episodes in this series!

Coming down the wire on the last 9 TOS movie-style posters! Hard to believe! I’ll miss this series when I’m done, but where TOS is concerned, I’m sure I’ll always come up with something else!
Here’s Whom Gods Destroy, yet another Captain-gone-mad episode and a semi-rehash of Dagger of the Mind. But Steve Inhat as Garth was deliciously loony, and Yvonne DeCarlo’s a lovely limber dancer!

Hey Kids,
I’ve always been fascinated by the beautiful use of light and color on the Original Series. Those colored gels on what were really just grey walls gave the series a magical, yet cozy feel. For a sci-fi show on a tight budget, it gave the whole series a special nuance of calm; like stained glass windows in a church.
Inspired by this lighting magic, I started playing around with images on Photoshop the other night and created these ‘stained-glass’ images. I kept the faces clear of lines so as not to distract from their beauty.
I bet I’ll do a lot of these! (I’m even giving them their own category).Here’s Spock from Whom Gods Destroy and Uhura from The Tholian Web.
