Comment Guidelines

comment guidelinesHi Everybody,

Believe it or not, Trekkerscrapbook has been around for over 4 Years now! (Yay!)  And as a service to new and old members, please observe these  gentle guidelines about making comments here.  And remember to  have fun, Thanks, Therese, (Benevolent Vulcan High Priestess)

Guidelines:

  1. Comments must be limited to 300 words or less.  Besides, when a reader will see a very long comment, they are very likely to ignore it.
  2. NO SPOILERS.  Since everyone here has probably seen every episode of the original Star Trek you may discuss all aspects of TOS openly However, not everyone has seen the newer incarnations (fan versions) of Trek, including Star Trek Continues and Star Trek Phase II and any new Star Trek movies too. Speculation beforehand is fine, but any spoiler written before I have submitted a review will not be approved.
  3. This is a family site, so please be civil and polite.  Comments with profanity, rudeness, and vitriol will not be approved.
  4. If you disagree with a post or comment, feel free to argue, but please keep your points simple and concise as needed (no need for in-depth analysis).
  5. No Spam or advertising.  (but you can recommend other  fun Trek sites you’ve seen).
  6. No phone #’s, e-mails, or other personal social network information about yourself or anyone you know or especially anyone related to Star Trek.  I treasure your privacy as I do my own.

And please just enjoy  my posts and each others company.   Remember, this is a happy Trek haven.  We’re here to have fun.  Thank you.

  1. I miss Leonard, Dee, and James. And I miss my childhood. All are gone forever. Live long and prosper.

TV Guide about 1970 asked Nichelle, Majel, and Grace Lee:
“Did you find the women’s uniforms sexist or offensive?” They
all said (paraphrase), “Not at all! They were comfortable, stylish,
    Feminine, attractive. We liked them!”
If the STTOS Ladies liked them, they are DEFINITELY good
    enough for us male admirers.

  3. Dear Priestess Therese – i’m new to Your
site and enjoying it, tho my computer/Internet
skills are pitiful. We learn by doing, so i’ll keep
at it. Having trouble navigating the forums (help
me, Scotty!) but that will come too.
“Turnabout Intruder” (STTOS) did not, as some claim, postulate that a Woman cannot
command a starship. It did illustrate that severe
mental disorder prevents a Woman (or a man,
per episode “The Doomsday Machine”) from
    succeeding as a commander.

  5. Dear Priestess Teresa,
Sorry, but i don’t grok the FaceOpp pix. As Turnabout Intruder
shows, switching genders is not a good idea. As the songs say,
ladies sing I Enjoy Being a Girl and we males vocalize I’m Still
a Guy (Brad Paisley). i dig Your humor in the vast majority of Your writings, so please don’t let my comments get You down. Your
infusion of Amok Time with face masks is a major LOL!

    • Hi Guy, It’s all in fun, no offense taken. Btw, my name has a an ‘h’ and ends in ‘e’ not ‘a’, but everyone messes that up! (I’m used to it!) Enjoy 🙂

  6. Dear Priestess Therese,
Thank You for the correction of my misspelling
of Your name! Haste makes waste, they say.
Greatly enjoyed Your article on The Navel
Battle. The abundant pictorial evidence was
truly fascinating. i examined the eye candy
(uh, the photos presentation) scientifically and
logically; the true winner is the audience.

Dear Priestess Therese, Last week I saw for the first time (BION), the STNG episode
“Relics” with our beloved Scotty. At various points I was cheering, laughing, or close to tears. The holodeck scene was especially
gripping, as Scotty moved from grateful nostalgia to strongly living in the now. And
Scotty, like Mike Franks of NCIS, has quite
    an appreciation for the Ladies!
Thanks to Netflix, I’ve watched “Relics”
several times, and it’s become my favorite
    STNG episode.
