In his inimitable retro style, artist Ale Giorgini takes on the Star Trek crew!
Sorry I haven’t posted in a while. I’ve been busy the past couple of months as a cast member in a local production of Jesus Christ Superstar. This weekend is the last three shows, and I gotta tell you, this has be a wonderful adventure for me, and it’s a joy to get back into a little acting again! I’m in the ensemble for the piece, and I’m playing everything from a worshiper to a fish merchant to an angel!
Jesus Christ Superstar is the classic rock opera from 1970 penned by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. It brings to life the last week in the life of Jesus and his conflicts with the priests of the Sanhedrin and his disciple Judas. It’s a powerful musical, with classic songs like I Don’t Know How To Love Him, Gethsemane, King Herod’s Song and, of course, the title number.
Our show has been the happiest hard work I’ve ever done! It’s a joy to see it come together from audition to final piece, and I’ve made many lovely new friends.
I’ll be back next week with Trek stuff. Thanks for your patience! 🙂 -Therese
