Here’s a couple of shots of Leonard proving that real men wear pink! And can look darn good in it too!

I came across a few publicity stills of Spock and Leila from This Side of Paradise. Always loved this episode, and the goodbye scene is just one of the best goodbyes I’ve ever seen.
Leonard at his handyman best! Found these on the net, I obviously do not own. But aren’t these great? 🙂 He can build me a cabinet anytime! I wonder what article these came from? (Winston, you know a lot about this stuff, clues?)

I only wish there were more! Blooper and on set silliness on the Trek set… In the last shot, Nimoy looks surprising a lot like Quinto!
I found some great archival stuff for this week: First, what appears to be a collection of some Trek/Nimoy goodness from a teenager’s bedroom wall in 1967, then a detail of the movie magazine article “My Other Life” below. (Don’t you love the first person narrative there? No doubt written by someone else!) I don’t know it there’s more to that article, but if I find more, you’ll see it here. I love finding Nimoy stuff in old teen magazines. You’ll also note there’s some badly colorized pictures here from the Trek set (T’Pring in Red!) Enjoy!

Of course, Star Trek did not make its debut until September 8, 1966, but Leonard Nimoy has been playing Mr. Spock since filming the pilot of The Cage in 1964!
Leonard, Congratulations on embodying and evolving such a charming, cool, lovable, and enduring character for all these years. The world is a happier place because of Mr. Spock! Spock will endure forever. Thank you, and may you and he truly Live Long and Prosper! 😀

I always loved when we’d see a glimpse of Spock with his lyre. It would be nice to see him with it in the next movie. (But wait, that would mean a moment of quiet meditation and you can’t have that in a blockbuster action picture!) Anyway, here’s Spock at his best musical self…

Hey All!
Here’s what I suspect a couple of my fangirls here were waiting for since last week (you know who you are!) Here’s Leonard at his finest in the rest of my stills from The Lieutenant episode In the Highest Tradition…
He was quite a firecracker here, and Nimoy and Barrett played so well off of each other that their characters of the intense director (Gregg) and his assistant (Ruth) would have made a great spin-off. I can see it now: The Director, starring Leonard Nimoy and Majel Barrett! With lots of sexual tension and plenty of anguished moments where Gregg strips his shirt off… Truly a missed opportunity!
You can see the whole episode here.
