A Little Chekov Love

Going through some publicity and promo shots — Let’s have a little love for Walter Koenig (Chekov) — the ‘Davy Jones’ of TOS!   I love the last one with the fan and fan magazine against the Mission: Impossible backdrop (Both series filmed on the same lot).  What a fine young man! keonig_chekov01

A Celeste Update and a Request from Me (Therese)

it's all in the mindDear Friends,

Could you please do me a favor? In this past month since I suggested it, I have only seen about $70 donated from trekkerscrapbook readers (including my two) and I’m wondering if  perhaps some of my readers here have donated, but have not included the words “trekkerscrapbook’ in their accompanying note?  If any of you out here have donated to Celeste, PLEASE let me know here so I may tally the total up. I am hoping to raise $1500 for Celeste through this site alone, but it is only possible if I know who has donated and how much — the easiest way for me to see this is for you to write “trekkerscrapbook”  or even “TS” in the comment section when you donate.  Please donate early and often! For every little bit helps! When we reach $1500 in donations, I’ll get to have an exclusive interview here with Celeste!   Hope to see a bunch of new donations soon; she’s almost at the 1/2 way point ($25,000)!Thank you!

Celeste left an update last Tuesday (5/19).  She has completed her chemo treatments, but had to have two extra  Neupogen shots Wednesday and Thursday  because her white blood cell count was off (Ugh!)  However, she and Nazim did get out to a lovely outdoor restaurant to relax.  Inch by inch, Dear Lady ❤

Enjoy the new comic to promote her cancer fund – I am also making poster copies of this to promote it around town.  I know we can reach this goal!

As Celeste wrote:

“Just when I was starting to feel better after the last 5 Neupogen shots I got a call from the doctors office regarding my blood work which was drawn yesterday and I have to go back to the hospital infusion center for two more Neupogen shots (Wednesday and Thursday) because my white count is still not normal. That means bone pain for a week following the shots and that means not sleeping well for another week. The fun just keeps coming doesn’t it?”

#57 Spectre of the Gun

In a most surreal episode, Kirk and Co. find themselves as the Clanton Gang at the O.K. Corral.  A Wanted poster seemed most appropriate here! Get a load of Kirk’s’ hair’! A fairly good episode for season 3, although I found the end a tad contrived. At least it let Scotty and Chekov into the action.

#54 The Ultimate Computer

The M-5 is Alive! I modified Commodore Wesley’s quote to make it more dramatic.  I love Chekov’s knuckle nibbling as he realized there is nothing he can do to stop Dr. Daystrom’s ultimate computer!

I intentionally chose the deco font on this which is so very typical of late ’60’s early ’70’s styling of ‘futuristic’ lettering.  And of course I had to use those most popular decor colors of the time: Avocado Green, Harvest Gold, and Burnt Orange as accents!54 The Ultimate Computer

#49 The Immunity Syndrome

As Star Trek carried on into it’s 2nd season, it began airing more stories set on board to save on it’s paltry limited budget.  Immunity Syndrome was definitely one of the better ones.  For this poster I preserved the ‘amoeba’ used in the original broadcasts.  The new CGI one is okay, but this one seemed more sinister.

#47 The Gamesters of Triskellion

I love the blue and gold graphics in Gamesters, it seemed a good place to start the artwork.  It would have been easy to make Shahna the center of attention here, (James Bond style) but I liked her better as an accent.  Also Galt has such a marvelous, angular, and imposing Darth Vader-ish form,  that his profile made a perfect focus.

My Weekly Spock: Blooper Fun!

I only wish there were more! Blooper and on set silliness on the Trek set… In the last shot, Nimoy looks surprising a lot like Quinto!

FArFri — “Best of Enterprise” by Stumpaa

Here’s a great piece by Stumpaa on DeviantArt –A little something to remind Kirk that there is no “I” in Team!   Almost mystic, yes?  I love how Uhura is playing peek-a boo.

FArFri – ‘Disguise’ Series by Ayumi Lemura

This is a marvelous series of Fan Art  is by artist Ayumi Lemura on Deviant Art.  Kind of like what the whole main crew of the Enterprise in  Assignment: Earth again, but this time in the 21st Century!  Heck, I want to see this episode! Each character’s ‘cover’ works so well with their personalities.  Great Job!

#40 “Mirror, Mirror”

Definitely one of my favorite episodes!  Wish they could have gone back to it in the Original Series.  There was a comic book sequel  (‘Fragile Glass” 1997) that satisfied the question “What happened after Bad Kirk came back?”
