Hi Everybody,

Just posting a little holiday cheer.   Now we all know that there are a lot of horrendous Christmas songs out there, so I thought I’d post a lovely song, celebrating the beauty of Winter and all the joy it can bring.  I love this song, can’t believe it never made the charts!  I’ll take this any day over some of the swill we’re forced to listen to as we do our Christmas shopping! (Next year I’ll post a full list of the worst I can think of).   The only problem with this song is that it’s too short! I can imagine it going on for another 5 or 6 minutes with an extended choir part!    Enjoy, and I do wish you all all a beautiful Christmas and Holiday  Season.  Love, Therese

Closing for a while. Be back Soon

As a mother and a human being, I am so sick after the horrific events in Connecticut yesterday, as I’m sure you all are.  The only good thing that can be said about the hell that all these families and the nation are going through is that it puts life into perspective.  We Americans (and all the Earth) MUST come back to what is really important in our lives, Our Families, Our Work, and Our Commitment to making the world a better place for ALL HUMANITY.  I know my little blog gives a few giggles to a few people, but this is, in reality, just a frivolous distraction from reality.   Nostalgia is fine, but my children will only be children for so long, as will yours.  We only have RIGHT NOW.   So turn off your computer and all your media devices for at least a few days.  Please pray for the families of this latest insane massacre, pray for the hell that they’re going to live with for the rest of their lives, and that somehow, in time, they will move on. Hello everyone!  A special FArFri for you today! Wishing you all a beautiful and safe Holiday Season and a very Happy New Year!  Thanks for all your support!  As a little present , I offer you — a Box O’ Spocks!

For  a guy who is supposedly emotionless. Spock sure  SMILES a lot, especially in Season 1.  Although most of these smiles were generated through an alien force, like Henoch or Kollos, it’s  all the better for us!  To me, whenever Spock smiles, it was less Spock and pure  Nimoy.  May you find your holidays as pleasant! love, Therese 🙂

Wideo Wednesday-Remembering Ravi Shankar

I was sad to hear that the great sitar musician Ravi Shankar passed away yesterday, he was 92.   Shankar was a master of the sitar and many may be familiar with him as an influence on the music of The Beatles (especially George Harrison) in the late 60’s.   He was also the father of musicians Anoushka Shankar and Norah Jones.  May he rest in peace.  His music always could take one to another mystical plane.  Enjoy this meditation:

Here’s some stage appearances from Mr. Nimoy, who did a lot of theater in the 1970’s.  I wish I could have seen one of these.  It looks like pure delight (and hard work) for the actor who loves theater like his own child.

We heard from Heash!

Hey Kids, I just got a very nice surprise, a comment here from the Master of Ceremonies from the Star Trek Bi-Centennial-10 convention back in 1976!  That’s right — HEASH!  (a.k.a. Steve Lance).  So be sure to read the comment; Mr. Lance is looking for reminiscences of all the Star Trek Conventions he hosted in the 1970’s so he can get his memoirs written!  For all of you who ever attended, be sure to give him your ear!

Bonus Friday Post — Trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness

I wasn’t going to post anything new until Monday, but just came across this!!!  Squeee!  Here’s the Japanese version of the preview for the new movie  Star Trek Into Darkness coming in May!   I ‘m posting the Japanese version because it has a touch more footage, most notably it appears Spock’s hand giving the Vulcan salute through glass to… someone ( reference to “The Wrath of Khan?”)

The plot of this one seems to be someone evil planning vengeance against Kirk and crew, just a matter of speculating who this bad guy is.   A lot have suggested that it’s Khan, but after closer examination, I think it’s Gary Mitchell from Where No Man Has Gone Before, which is an exciting prospect to me because I always felt bad that Mitchell had to die in the original.   Another hint?  The pretty blond crew-member looks like Dr. Elizabeth Dehner from that original pilot.  ( I thought it might have been Yeoman Rand at first, but she’s wearing science blue!)
