A collection of all the great Star Trek art I find on the Internet!

FArF: Sulu in the Garden

It’s Spring! So naturally Sulu wants to pursue his Botany.  Beautiful. If anyone knows the artist, let me know, I want to credit them.

FArF: Retro Coolness in ‘Expendable’ by Dave Perillo

Artist Dave Perillo is known for his marvelous and very witty retro-style pieces.  Here he tackles a redshirt’s nightmare in “Expendable”.  I love this so much!  More please Sir!

FArF: “Sorry Guy’s, Time to Run!” by Worgue.

How the week flies by!  Here’s today’s Fan Art — the very clever Sorry Guy’s, Time to Run! by artist Worgue.  I like that he included Yeoman Rand along wit Chekov, even though they didn’t work together on TOS.   And of course, Spock is Kirk’s first priority!  At the time Worgue had created this, he hadn’t seen much of the original series yet; here’s hoping he’ll make more! 🙂sorry_guys__time_to_run____by_worgue-d6mewo1

FArFri: Women of Star Trek by Jason Potratz

Sorry I’m a little late this week — for this week’s Fan Art, here’s three lovely representations of  Nurse Chapel, Lt. Uhura, and Yeoman Rand by artist Jason Potratz.  Nice to see Yeoman Rand, who isn’t often seen in Fan Art, and I also like Uhura’s expression; as if she’s really about to give someone what for!

FArF: Uhura by Pocketuti

In honor of Women’s History Month, I can’t think of a better way to start than with this First Lady of Star Trek — Uhura!  I love this pen work by pocketuti!  Her eyes, the serene smile, perfection! ❤ (and pen is hard to draw with)  The artist does many wonderful face portraits, check her out here.

FArF: The Tastiest of Nimoy Sunset Pie

On Tumblr, there has been a wonderfully eccentric blog called “Nimoy Sunset Pie“, which ran from 2010-2013.  In this gallery the artist combined three of their favorite things: Sunsets, Pie, and Leonard Nimoy, and has given us a delightful mixture of  sweet and Spock!   As we approach the sad anniversary of Nimoy’s passing, it seems appropriate to send him off into the most lovable of sunsets.

Who’d have known Spock was so addicted to pie?   Here’s just a ‘taste’ of this brilliant deliciousness — I added my own at the bottom.   Enjoy, and have a sweet weekend.  ❤

FArF: Spock N’ Roll! LPs that never were!

This week I’m featuring two delightful LP mash-ups featuring Leonard!  True, he didn’t actually record this discs, but the artists made them so convincing I wish they were real!

The first is by the brilliant Chris Shapan featuring a mash-up her is based on The Best of Jolson (Al Jolson of the first talking movie The Jazz Singer), and Shapan has morphed it beautifully into a believable Leonard Nimoy album; it almost makes me wish it really existed!  (Well, almost!) You can see more of  Shapan’s brilliant LP mash-ups here.

The second has turned Spock into the Vulcan Elvis!  I wish I knew who made tis, it’s perfect!  I wonder if Spock would have had this hair if Star Trek was made in the 50’s?  You’ll notice all the songs have Trek references — Another great mash up from an unknown artist.   Sharp-eyed (or should I say obsessive) fans will notice a small flaw in both of these — let me know if you see it!

But for now, these have inspired me to make another in my series of Beatle/Trek LP mashups, and you’ll see it soon (you know how I love to collage!) 11692614_860080514062602_3163098512961511766_n

FArF: Some McCoy Art

Since it was recently the heavenly birthday of DeForest Kelley I thought I’d find some fan art of our favorite doctor, and the artists didn’t disappoint!  We have everything from animated gifs to embroidery to plushies! I especially love “Joanna” with it’s artist’s depiction of civillian McCoy with his daughter.  I imagine that is exactly what she would have looked like!  Enjoy!

FArF: Mudd’s Women by Jonathan Banchick

Here’s a glorious take on Mudd’s Women by artist Jonathan Banchick.  I love the colors and expressions!  You can see more of Jonathan’s work here.   I hope he’ll do more TOS eposides!

FArF: Trek meets Yellow Submarine

Being a devotee of both The Beatles and Trek, I was delighted to come across this!  What a magnificent crossover of TOS and Yellow Submarine! I appreciate that the artist included Chapel and Rand.  If you look closely, you can see and alternate submarine Enterprise in red with Evil Kirk and Spock there!  Other clever mashups here: Harry Mudd as a combination Young Fred/Snapping Turtle Turk,  a Klingon vessel as The Dreadful Flying Glove, and the Mugato as a Blue Meanie.   I don’t know who made this but it’s brilliant!
