BLAME_THE_TRANSPORTER_by_lamamamaHere’s this week’s Fan Art —   “Blame it on the Transporter” by aritst lamamama.  See if you can guess which cat is Kirk, Spock, or McCoy…(It’s pretty and delightfully obvious!) These are some cuddly crewman!

My Weekly Spock 4/29/13 — More Bizarre Leaf Trading Cards

As I pointed out the other week, the first Star Trek bubble gum cards were produced by the Leaf company in 1967 — and they were a pretty bizarre collection.  Loaded with rehearsal outtake photos with odd titles and truly false plot summaries, the Leaf cards obviously didn’t take Trek too seriously. Spock becomes everything from a senator to a teeny-bopper!  Here’s some more Crazy–enjoy!

Happy 76th Birthday (a day early) to George Takei!

George Takei turns 76 tomorrow! (April 20th) Oh Myyyy!   I love George’s activism, humor, and compassion for the human race. (Not to mention his voice!)  I have an audio recording of George promoting the first Star Trek movie back in 1979 when he visited our local community college here.  When I figure out how to post it here I will!

A very happy birthday, George! Thanks for being a fine actor and a  wonderful human being! -Love and Blessings, Therese Takei bday 2013

More Scrapbook coming soon!

Hey kids,  I’ll be posting more bits form my old Trek scrapbooks very soon, so stay tuned!  I just finished scanning all of my second (of 4) scrapbooks today, and that took me two days!  Then I have to adjust and crop each page and article too so it looks right and ordered here.   Soon I’ll be scanning  Volume 3 ,and I know Volume 4 is around here somewhere, so eventually I’ll have all of them up.  Thanks so much for your patronage and nice comments, I aim to please.  After going through piles of Trek memorabilia—sometimes I feel like Kirk in this scene…

Today’s Toon: “Ear-itant”

Hey kids, I’m a little late with a toon this week (and I can’t think of new ones every week) but I hope this is worth the wait! Click on comic for full size — Enjoy, Therese

Spock is thinking “I am the logical choice.”

Poor Larry is sweating ” I LOVE YOU, MIRANDA!”

Sulu is just “Uh, Why am I here?”

And Ambassador Kollos knows he has it in the bag!

The Daily Scrapbook: 3/15/13 The Complete Script for The Trouble With Tribbles!

Here’s today’s flashback: From September of 1978, a READ Magazine from my High School English class which astonishingly reprints the entire screenplay from The Trouble with Tribbles! We read this aloud in class, (can’t remember which part I was) I like the sketchy illustrations within recreating the episode.   thrill for me of course since I could probably recite it by rote! Also, anyone remember GRIT newspaper? (Earn $5-$10 easy a week!)  I always wondered why a supposed ‘family paper’ had such a scuzzy name!
