A Thank You from Boston

Hi All,

I made a donation to the Boston Museum of Science supporting the Leonard Nimoy monument that is being fund raised for! They are getting close to their goal, and I truly hope they achieve it! It will be a big crystalized hand in the form of Vulcan Greeting in front of the museum. I received this lovely thank you today from Tim Ritchie, the President of the Museum of Science:

Currently the total donations are $301,789 and it is 60% to reaching its mark (of $500,000) Please consider contributing any amount to can to complete this wonderful project! You can donate here. I am proud to be a part of this undertaking, and I’m sure Leonard is smiling from above!

Leonard Remembers Boston – VIDEO

This is a really wonderful interview with Leonard Nimoy talking about growing up in the West End of Boston.  ❤  I especially like when he describes losing his accent and getting Sea Hunt work from Lloyd Bridges, and when he discusses how he identified with Spock.    From 2014.

My Weekly Spock – Who is that Leonard in the Neighborhood?

A friend on Facebook posted these (Thanks Glo!). She had these pictures from a friend of hers who happened to be in Leonard’s old Boston neighborhood in the ’70’s when he was visiting his Mom!  You can see his mom Dora in the 1st picture with from the back getting into the car.  Ever gracious,  Leonard smiles for the fan in the second picture.  ❤

My Weekly Spock — I Was a Teenage Spock

Sorry I didn’t post much last week, kids!  Busy with work, my son being away for a school trip, Easter, and rescuing a stray cat! It has a new home now  ❤ )  But here’s this week’s Nimoy appetizer.   🙂   I came across these sweet pics of little and teenage Lennie! (The first one I Photoshopped a little since it had a huge crack across the right side).

My Weekly Spock — Leonard Remembers the Boston of his Youth

Hey Kids,

Thinking of Boston today as they run their triumphant Boston Marathon and slowly heal the wounds of last year’s attack.  Boston has been through many changes, but it will always be Boston Strong.  Here’s a portion of a wonderful  interview where Leonard remembers the long lost West End Boston of his youth:

(Sorry I’m late today, getting over a bad head cold.  Hope you had a nice holiday weekend!)

Prayers for Boston, Massachussetts

Dear Readers,

I just wanted to take a moment to reflect and pray for all of the victims of the bombings at the Boston Marathon today.  I’m speechless. Pray for peace here and in the whole world.iloveboston360
