To all my Fellow New York State residents:
Today’s the Primary voting in the Presidential Election — polls close at 9:00 p.m. EDT, so please get out there!
(Of course I had to do a little homage to Leonard ❤ )

Good Lord! I thought as I first saw this incredible shirt picture — what disco did Leonard just boogie out of? But on closer inspection, I could see that the images on the shirt are a marvelous collage of Aubrey Beardsley illustrations from the Oscar Wilde illustrated play of Salome. The gowned image on his right (your left) elbow is a portion of a piece that lists the artwork in the book. On his left (your right) elbow is a devilish hermaphrodite. On his upper right shoulder is ‘The Climax“. These are actually some of the less graphic designs in the book, which you can see here. Beardsley could be quite bizarre, creepy and controversial, but often beautiful too. Incredible stuff.
I’m guessing this picture was taken not in the disco era, but a but earlier, say 1969-71, when there was a revival bloom in the rediscovery of Beardsley artwork (probably brought on by the Psychedelic movement). If there are any more pictures from this shoot, I’d love to see them. Leonard definitely had his own style though! Groove on!

Hi All,
Sorry I’m late this week, but work is getting busier, and on Monday I had the pleasure of seeing Bernie Sanders at a rally in my home town!
For this week, I found this wonderful rare promo shot of Leonard posing with the (mighty handsome) designer of the Galileo shuttlecraft designer, Gene Winfield!

Artist Dave Perillo is known for his marvelous and very witty retro-style pieces. Here he tackles a redshirt’s nightmare in “Expendable”. I love this so much! More please Sir!

I LOVE this picture that Nichelle Nichols posted recently! Maybe this is the Tribble version of The Tonight Show’s ‘Pup Quiz’ except when you get the answer right you get a Tribble! I hope I can meet her someday — I did see her at the Star Trek Bi-Centennial 10 Convention in 1976, but of course I was out of film by then!!! Love you Girl! That looks like a designer leopard tribble! ❤
Just came across these gorgeous stills from Seizure: The Story of Kathy Morris which came out in 1980. I remember seeing this when it was broadcast, based on a true story and very moving.

LOS ANGELES – MAY 1: Leonard Nimoy (as Dr. Richard Connought), in Seizure: The Story of Kathy Morris, a CBS made for TV movie. Nimoy stars as a brash but brilliant neurosurgeon faced with an unexpected near-fatal complication of a seemingly routine operation. Originally broadcast Wednesday, January 9, 1980. It’s almost to good to be true, but lo and behold — My favorite band of all time were fans of my favorite TV show of all time!
As evidenced in this extremely rare photo from late 1966 – Paul is clearly giving the Vulcan Peace Sign as John looks on from their hotel window! I bet Trek was a huge factor in their creative drives that led to Sgt. Pepper the following year! Wow! Who’da thunk it???!
And by the way, if you haven’t noticed today’s date, better read the following words backward: LOOF LIRPA ! 😉 Gotcha! (This was hard to Photoshop!)
