Sorry I’m a little late today — very busy at work!
In one of his last photo shoots, Leonard Nimoy posed in this very dramatic, kind of spooky pose (Those glowing eyes!!) I think he would have made an excellent vampire- like Barnabas Collins from Dark Shadows! It’s a a really incredible portrait. Does anyone know if there’s more from this sitting?

Yes, smoking is bad for you, but he just looks so delightfully Sherlock-y here! These are in black and white, but that’s the same light blue top he wore at the space shuttle Enterprise’s unveiling! (see color detail below)
When opportunity knocks, one answers — and Leonard even guested on comedienne Phyllis Diller’s The Beautiful Phyllis Diller Show – This takes guts – but looks like he had a swell time! It only ran one season but I wonder if there’s video of this anywhere? I’ve seen some other pictures with Leonard on this show, but they’re buried in an old LNAF yearbook that I have to look up! I’ll show them eventually! Enjoy!
Here’s a wonderful photo of Leonard and Bill with writer Harlan Ellison (The City on the Edge 0f Forever). From the set design, I’m guessing it was taken during the filming of Mudd’s Women.
Nimoy and Shatner’s autographs are so very typical of their personalities!

Some more fun promo and behind-the-scenes shots this week — this time from Amok Time. Some of these I have never seen before, Like Spock and Kirk fighting in front of T’Pring, and also the still of little bored T’Pring! ( I love T’Pring’s huge sunburst ring too.
I think Amok Time is in most Trekkies top 10 lists. Where does it rank in yours?

(Sorry I’m so late today — had a busy day between work and errands!)
Well, after all these years, I haven’t figured out how 3-D chess works, but it’s nice to know that Mr. Nimoy enjoyed an occasional game of chess like I do!
When’s the last time anyone here has played chess? I love playing it with my sons — dig out the board sometime and see if you still got your winning moves!

Leonard with great grandson Charlie Pearson in 2011. (Aww!)
I loved this photo of Mr. Nimoy (in 2011) with his great grandson Charlie Pearson that was featured People.com when Nimoy died. But what struck me the most was how much this little guy resembles his Great ‘Poppi’ as a child! (the eyes, the ears, the smile!) Charlie is Adam’s grandson and truly that apple didn’t fall far from the tree! Sweet little fellow!

Happy to report that Adam Nimoy’s Kickstarter fund met it’s goal yesterday; ($662,640 total) one day short of the deadline! I look forward to the final product of For the Love of Spock sometime next year! Congratulations Adam! (And I look forward to my bonus gift for contributing 🙂 )
In the meantime, I urge you to please contribute to Celeste Yarnall’s GoFundMe page to help pay the cancer bills her insurance won’t cover. Celeste has another surgery coming up in late July (Hernia plus removal of a large cantaloupe-sized mass and insertion an IVC filter in a hip vein to protect her from the possible migration of two clots* to her heart or lungs). This is a very trying and scary time for Celeste and her family, and I know that the love and support that went into Adam’s project would be so welcome and helping here. Please send what you can, every bit will help. If Adam can raise over $60,000 in one day, surely we can raise the rest of Celeste’s fund ($23,665) within a week! Adam with Dad Leonard in the late 60’s
Adam Nimoy’s Kickstarter fund to make the documentary about his Dad Leonard Nimoy and Mister Spock is coming down the wire!
At this writing, the fund is at $537,454. The Goal is $600,000 and it has to be made by July 1st! Adam must raise $62,546 within the next 60 hours, not a penny less, or he will lose ALL of his funds pledged so far to make this labor of love.
I made my contribution and I wish I could send more, but I’m hoping that EVERYONE who reads this will contribute whatever they can, for this will be a very special and wonderful documentary, or should I say ‘Spockumentary’!!
