I couldn’t resist doing another batch of these. Funny how the Voila! app makes all the women on the show look even more doll-faced; Stella too! Of course the lighting and common soft focus on TOS added to it! By the way, for those wondering, a reader asked why I made all the characters look like children in my last post. Well, that’s all part of the app algorithm! Also, the original app gives you three versions of the original, and in the last post I cropped them all down to the ones I though looked best – mostly in ‘royal’ mode, whatever that is! For this post, I’m posting all the versions per character, (I love how Khan, looks like a perfect Mort Drucker caricature. You’ll see that not all of them quite work! Sometimes in profile, a nose gets nipped! And with with aliens; Balok’s puppet looks like something out of Salvador Dali! However, since so many of them look pretty cool, (We have some gorgeous Diana Muldaur here in both of her Trek roles) that’s a testament to the beautiful photography of TOS! Enjoy, and hope you’re doing well on these blessed summer days. -Therese ❤

Found in the ruins of an baroque mansion in Paris! 😉
So… I got playing with Photoshop… Maybe Thalassa looks like this in Oblivion! 😉
By the way, did you know that “Thalassa” in Greek means ‘Sea’? How appropriate for her beautiful sea green eyes!
Hello Diana Muldaur wherever you are! ❤

If you haven’t seen the latest app Voila! Al Atriste , it’s the latest silly Face App you can use to modify your selfies and pics of your favorite people. Naturally I couldn’t resist trying it with TOS crew and characters, like I did a year ago with a different app!
There are different settings, Cartoon (2d an 3D) and like an oil painting from the 15th, 19, or current century. Most of these are in cartoon mode! Amazing how Shatner, Nichols, Sulu and Chapel’s faces worked here. Nimoy’s, especially with the pointed ears, gave the algorithm a bit of trouble at first , sometimes rounding his points! Very reminiscent of the Disney style. But the main beef I have about this app is that it often turns the brown or dark eyes blue! (Especially in ‘baby’ mode). I ended up modifying the eyes on some of these. I ended up getting fully addicted to the app to see what would come next! I will probably delete the app in a few weeks 🙂
But for today I’m only posting the main crew, with more throughout this and next week. One thing’s for sure, it made me want to remake a whole bunch new TOS animated episodes wit this app! Enjoy! I’d love to hear some comments!

I just watched this last night, and it brought me such joy (and a few tears too).
Nichelle’s story is so remarkable, and there is so much more to her than the Uhura we all love. With her determination SHE was the key to blast open the doors to NASA and the space program to women and minorities; something that is totally (and thankfully) taken for granted today.
With recent and archived interviews, we learn of Nichelle’s journey from a young dancer and singer who performed with Duke Ellington, to actress and icon through Star Trek and through her greatest achievements in integrating NASA and promoting women and encouraging young people to truly employ their talents and truly reach for the stars.
Watching this, I felt I really knew Nichelle for the first time. I just wanted to hug her and say ‘Thank You!’. She is an inspiration for us all to achieve our dreams and make a difference in the world. Woman in Motion will touch your heart and mind with a message of hope. We need this now. This was released in 2019 and is now streaming on Paramount Plus.
Nichelle, thank you for ‘Flying us to the moon’. We love you. ❤

Hi Everyone!
Well, since my original might be a tad overwhelming, I made made copies of my massive homage and divided it up into eight bite-size pieces so you can see everything a bit better! This way you won’t have to got to the DeviantArt link as much either! Enjoy, and check the list below for images you might have missed! 🙂

Bonus Pop Culture and Silly Details: Spock and Nimoy inspired a LOT of pop culture. See if you can find all of these:

Finally! It is Finished!
Here is the link to my ultimate Leonard Nimoy collage! It was so darn BIG it wouldn’t fit here! I had to shrink down the original to post it here.
As you may know, I’ve been working on this collage for quite a while now, and whoa, I am spent! But working on this has been worth every moment, and even though we are past what would have been his 90th Birthday, I think this speaks well for the incredible life Leonard Nimoy lead!
I really didn’t think it would take nearly four months to complete this, as my Shatner Birthday Tribute only took about two weeks to make. But this was different; Nimoy’s life was so active and diverse, like an octopus with a three dozen tentacles, the more I researched pictures to use, the bigger and bigger it got!
I like to tell stories with my collages as opposed to just slapping random pictures together. And Nimoy’s life tells quite the tale.
It seemed easy enough to start with the basics, family, early career, StarTrek, and hobbies. But I found myself getting new ideas with every new picture I’d find. (e.g., There would be a picture of him in real life that correlated with a role he had on screen, or similar candid poses, or a particular laugh). Then there were his public appearances, promotions, conventions, charities, bloopers and of course dozens of images of him giving the Vulcan Peace Sign. So many I had never seen before, and I added some from my own personal collection as well (and some of m They all twirled together in my mind as well as my poor computer. Lots and LOTS of editing, from cropping and color balance, to making a 3D-ish banner and stacking pictures so they’d meld and compliment each other, as well as making ‘mini-collages’ to complete portions.
And then the ultimate choices, which pictures should I use? I think I found a lot of Spock/Nimoy greatest hits. Often I’d think “Oh I have to use that one!” and sometimes “How could I have forgotten that one?” Indeed, just as I proofed the final piece before publishing this here, I found a theater reference lacking that I know was very special to Mr. Nimoy, and I’m glad I caught and added it before posting it here!
You will find a lot of tongue-in-cheek humor throughout too; Spock as a hood ornament? Nimoy getting ‘pinched’? Who’s in the back of that limousine? You might need a magnifying glass to see some tiny details, but it’ll be fun 😉 Like I said, the ideas kept coming. I might have to start a business of memorial collages; I love making these.
As ever, you are welcome to share this, just please don’t edit it in any way. I make no money on this, it is for pure fun and enjoyment. Thank you my friends, Therese 🙂 ❤

Well, I’ve been working on this a while now–and I appreciate your patience! It’s the collage I was making to commemorate Leonard’s 90th Birthday — Maybe I should just call it a BirthYear Anniversary! Ah well, he would have been 90 all year!
When I started it in mid February, I didn’t think it would take too long — but no!
I had finished my Shatner 90th collage, and started making this one on my same ancient format (don’t laugh-much) Printmaster 16 from 2010! Well, suffice to say, that program, though easy to use, was getting overwhelmed by the 100+ photos I was using here and it kept crashing! It wouldn’t let me transfer the image to another file so i could finish it properly, so I decided I’d have to start ALL OVER AGAIN! (Time to ditch that program)
But it was worth it — Photoshop to the rescue. Not only am I learning better as I go but I’m also editing my overzealous use of too many photos! And yes, there are SO MANY wonderful pics of my subject matter, it’s a little hard to choose what to edit, but it’s worth it. Also, in the original, the various pics didn’t always work together, and I like to tell a little story in my collages. It’s gelling up nicely. 🙂 Here’s a little portion celebrating Leonard’s favorite plaid jacket!
Sooo, if you can all hang on a little longer, I hope to have this up soon!
Thanks! -Therese 🙂 LLAP

Hi Everyone! I know I promised this last week, but life happens (I had a nasty fall last week, but I’m fine now) and I finally finished this today. (Working on a belated Nimoy 90th tribute too)
Happy Belated 90th Birthday to Bill Shatner – what a life! I think I’ve captured a moment from all nine decades you’ve been around. If you look closely, you’ll see pictures with a few couplings of Bill with actors he worked with more than once, dappled with some memorable Kirk moments as well as LOTS of humor. I especially like all the “Bills” having a group ‘hug’ at the bottom. Even Spock is having a laugh! So be sure to zoom in to see all the details!
I hope we can all be as sharp and active as The Shat Man is when we hit 90! Best wishes Always, Therese.
