Well, Kids, it took a little longer than expected, but I’m still 20 minutes inside March 26th!

Happy 83rd Birthday Leonard!!!!

Your life so far has been amazing, and we fans are so thankful for the joy, excitement, and inspiration you have blessed us with all these years! Hope this Birthday was the best ever for you yet, and that you may continue to Live Long and Prosper!  We Love you’  “Grandpa”!   Peace and Long Life to You! It’s Leonard’s Birthday!

Hey Kids — I haven’t forgotten what today is–Leonard is 83!   In fact, I’ve been working on a TreKomic for much of today, but it’s so BIG I’m going to have to re-size it!  Thanks for your patience and I hope to have it up before today is through!  Here’s a nice pic of our favorite fellah for now in his tender teenage years! Happy Birthday Sir!

Our fellow scrapper Corylea gently pointed out to me that last Saturday was Bill Shatner’s Birthday!   I knew this somewhere in the back of my brain, but I’ve been very busy lately with work and projects.  So without further adieu, Happy Belated 83rd Birthday to our sweet Captain Charming!  Love ya, Bill! 83 bill bday

My Home Made TARDIS

Today was my sweet husband’s birthday, and we love Dr. Who, so I made him his own TARDIS!   And like the real thing, it’s BIGGER on the INSIDE! (And a candy box to boot!)   I got the idea to make this from this picture on the ‘net. although mine’s more crafty, (note the felt exterior, shiny metallic interior and how the candy boxes read “Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey”!)  Didn’t know I liked Dr. Who too,eh?  I made it it two days, glad I pulled it off! He got a big kick out of it!   Enjoy!

Here’s today’s flashback:  From December 1978, a local review of Invasion of the Body Snatchers by late, great local entertainment critic Gene Grey (Gee, I don’t think local critics even review new movies in the paper anymore; they’re all AP newsfeed).  More boffo quotes for the movie are seen in the movie ad, including
“It may be the best movie of its kind ever made.” and also a sweet photo of Stephen Collins (Cmdr. Decker) and Persis Khambatta (Ilia) sharing birthday cakes with Nimoy. The two shared a birthday, and I wonder how often that happens on movie sets between co-stars? A little note here mentions that the spending for Trek is getting higher and higher…V2-027 full

My Weekly Spock 3/25/13 -Birthdays Salute-Leonard & Bill, Good Friends

Since Last Friday was William Shatner’s Birthday, and tomorrow is Leonard Nimoy’s Birthday, it’s a good time to reflect on the nearly 50-year old friendship between these two actors.  Hard to believe they weren’t always this chummy, but nice to know that the real life counterparts of Kirk and Spock are just as close as their fictional characters.  When a dying Spock said to Kirk in ST:II “I have been and always will be your friend” it was from the heart. Their off screen friendship made their on-screen chemistry all the more believable; a joy we’ve had for nearly a 1/2 century.   Happy Birthday, Guys!
