FArFri: The Woes of Kirk-in-Lester by Berende

This is so funny, by artist Berende, who’s done a whole series of Trek episodes! I’ll post more soon!

Today’s Toon: Awkward Elevator

Sorry, just the way Bill is looking at Leonard here, I couldn’t resist!

Wideo Wednesday – Trek Bloopers and Silliness

Here’s a nice compilation of bloopers and fun moments from the original series:

#57 Spectre of the Gun

In a most surreal episode, Kirk and Co. find themselves as the Clanton Gang at the O.K. Corral.  A Wanted poster seemed most appropriate here! Get a load of Kirk’s’ hair’! A fairly good episode for season 3, although I found the end a tad contrived. At least it let Scotty and Chekov into the action.

My Weekly Spock: Nimoy as Freddy in Bonanza “The Ape”

Leonard appeared in this 1960 episode of the classic Western Bonanza as a sleazy bartender who makes fun of Arte, the Cartwrights dim-witted, but incredibly big and strong ranch hand.

Nimoy’s scenes are few, but he adds t another in a line of ‘heavies’ to his resume.  At least he’s a sharp dresser!

You can see the whole episode here.  🙂

# 56 Assignment: Earth

Ah Gary Seven! One of the few characters who could equal Spock’s coolness in the original series. Loved Teri Garr and Robert Lansing here (and the cat too!)  I’m really sorry this teaser/pilot disguised as a Star Trek episode wasn’t made into a regular series; I think it would have been fun!

I wonder if there is any Gary Seven fan fiction out there?  I think Bryan Cranston would make an excellent Seven in a reboot!

Wideo Wednesday: Star Trek 2nd Pilot Intro – Unaired Version

If you haven’t seen this, it’s pretty neat! Different dialogue for the opening.  Taken from a 16mm print!
