FArFri- “Teddy with Fangs” by natnatTOS

I bet a lot of  little kids want a dog or cat for Christmas — But Spock was just as happy with his Sehlot!  A sweet piece by natnatTOS on DeviantArt.

Toon Time — ‘Dress Rehearsal’

Spock surely finds this situation “a puzzlement”.  I’d just say it’s fair play!

The King and Spock

Happy 97th Birthday Kirk Douglas!

With time passing on so many Hollywood greats, it’s nice to know that this fella’s still around!  Happy 97th to the other great
Kirk; Kirk Douglas!   (He IS Spartacus! <3)

My Weekly Spock – Spock’s ‘Primitive Sexuality’ Revealed!!

Hey Kids,

Remember a while back when I re-colored and edited an old article from the 60’s about The Primitive Sex Appeal of Dr. Spock? Well, if you don’t, Here’s the link.  As you may recall, I flipped the picture, fixed the color and changed the lettering to reflect Spock’s correct title (for as we know, Spock was not a pediatrician!) I was so frustrated that I couldn’t find the rest of that article.  But now, to my delight and for your enjoyment, the genius behind the tumblr blog “Beyond Spock” has found the rest of the article, that I now present here, complete with my corrected front page! The psychologist, Dr. Carol Hofburnham,  credits Nimoy’s performance for part of Spock’s magnetism, but credits most of it to  Spock’s unconscious roots in Beowulf, Sir Lancelot, and the  Satyr.  (We all know better, of course.) Enjoy!

FArFri: A “Trek” take on Lautrec.

This is just marvelous.  The artist matsutakedo on Deviant Art recreated the famous Toulouse Latrec’s poster of Divan Japonais into this surreal but quaint version of Spock Prime with young Kirk and Spock!  Amazing how well Spock’s image fits into the personage of the madam! Seems appropriate, after all, the artist’s name was Lautrec! 😉

Wideo Wednesday –“Eat, Fry, Love,” a turkey fryer fire cautionary tale (with Bill Shatner)

Bill does a great public service announcement about Deep Fried Turkey.  Please take heed of this video (and the actual fire safety video) before you attempt to deep fry a turkey for the holidays! It’s astonishingly frightening how fast it can all go up in flames if done wrong).  Listen to the Captain, he knows his stuff!

My Weekly Spock – Pretty Handy

Creative people always use their hands a lot in conversations and Mr. Nimoy is no exception. I noticed he used his hands a lot when I saw him in person last June,  and as I am half-Italian, I can always appreciate that type of expressiveness in a person!  I’ll never forget him throwing out the Vulcan salute as he got into his cab that day with a big smile on his face (sorry I didn’t catch it in a picture). Here’s some ‘handy’ pics. 😉

A murderous hand? Eeek!
