The past few days have been hard with the passing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. I keep her spirit in my prayers, and although I am saddened, I still see a glimmer of hope on the horizon. I made this tribute collage for Ruth, and I dedicate it to all who pursue justice for ALL. Rest in Peace and Power, Ruth. Thousands of little girls will know you, and follow in your footsteps.
Here’s to you, here’s to them. (If you share this, please do not remove my name from it, thank you.)

Hi All! Forgive me for not writing in a while. I assure you all is well, and my family and I are managing well during this pandemic. I pray you are all well too, and please feel free to let us know how you’re doing in the comments. I’d love to hear from you.
I’ve been keeping busy by making cloth masks to donate to local charities and hospitals that need it. (also taking orders) I worked at fabric store for 6 years, so I have a lot of fabric that is coming in handy for this undertaking. I have some Star Trek cloth too that I’m sure will bring a few smiles to wearers.

Of course, we don’t know how long this pandemic will last, but we can continue to do our best by maintaining the guidelines to keep us all safe and to keep the virus from expanding, or worse, coming back for a second wave.
It’s astonishingly awful that COVID-19 has now claimed more American lives in three months, (over 60,000) than we lost in the entire Vietnam War. And now that over 30 U.S. states are loosening the restrictions, it is imperative that we stay extra cautious as some of us go out into the world again. Please ask yourself if certain trips are really necessary, and ALWAYS wear a mask when you are in the company of others, for the sake of them and their families as well as yours. This pandemic is far from over, and we all want to come out of it on the other side with our health intact.
I wonder what the Enterprise crew would have done in this situation? I’d like to think that in the Trek universe, plagues and pandemics are a thing of the past, but as long as there is matter, there are viruses. Just something we have to always be prepared for, and take a day at a time.
My wishes for your best health and happiness. Stay safe and busy!
I’ll post again soon, Therese.
Live Loooooooooooooooooooooong and Prosper! ❤

Hi Everyone,
Here’s an idea I’ve had for a LONG time and I finally got it to come to fruition. As I’m sure many of you have seen, in the past I have made many silly collages which combine the two best pop culture phenomenons of the 1960’s; Star Trek and The Beatles! You can see my previous ‘Beatle Trek’s’ here.
Anyway, for ages I wanted to recreate the famous Sgt.Pepper’s Lonely Heart’s Club Band except make it with memorable Star Trek Characters. As the centerpiece, Kirk, Spock, McCoy and Scotty replace the Fab Four, and I poured over many pictures to find just the right character to fill in for all the originals (and a few more) for this cover.
You’ll note that the Klingons replace the waxworks figures of The Beatles, Mohammed Ali’s robed boxer is replaced with robed Lord Garth from Whom Gods Destroy, glamorous Droxine and Carolyn Palamas take over for Marlene Dietrich and Diana Dors. I’ve added many other characters in positions close to the originals: notice Miranda Jones’ hand behind Kirk, just as Issy Bonn’s hand was behind Paul McCartney’s head in the original! I also have many more women in this version than the Pepper album. But as The Beatles chose their favorite heroes for their album, I chose my favorite characters for this. And of course you will find our dear Celeste Yarnall (Martha Landon in The Apple) in the mix. Although she sadly passed before she could see it, her widower, Nazim assured me she would have enjoyed it. Indeed, I have always found creativity a balm for sorrow, and I recommend creating something yourself, anything with your heart and hands, to help you at your sad times.
You’ll notice that most of these characters are not crew members, as I did a massive collage of as many Enterprise members as I could in the past. I also intentionally posted some characters in black and white instead of color, like on the original. If you look closely, you’ll see Alexander from Plato’s Stepchildren in Shirley Temple’s place and Balok from The Corbomite Maneuver flopped out like the doll in Rolling Stones sweater too! I even used Star Trek plants to replace the flora of the original. And be sure to look out for 4 hidden Spocks (as well as the main one in the center)!
If you can’t identify all the characters, I created a numbered key for the poster below. Enjoy, and please let me know what you think! Thanks, Therese ❤

It is with a very heavy heart that I report today that our friend Celeste Yarnall has passed away. Surrounded by her loving family, she will never be forgotten. She is forever remembered to us Trek fans as Yeoman Martha Landon in The Apple, but she was so much more.
Celeste passed on Sunday night after a hellish battle with cancer which began as ovarian four years ago and evolved into lung cancer recently. I can only imagine how awful it was when it was reported recently that she had non-stop coughing, pain, and mucus from the lung invasion. When I read that she was in hospice, I suspected that she was soon to be on her final celestial journey. I send my deepest condolences and comfort to her husband Nazim, daughter Cami, and granddaughter Gaby. You were her rock and her heart.
I first became friends with Celeste through Facebook. It was there I had learned of her cancer and I was determined to help her raise money through her cancer fund to help her with medical payments. I had sent her my interpretation of her Star Trek episode, The Apple, as a movie poster:
She liked it so much, she printed it up big and displayed it frequently at her autograph signings! I was so honored.
Inspired, I created numerous Star Trek ‘funnies‘ depicting her in her role as Yeoman Martha Landon in The Apple with Trek characters encouraging donations, like this one:
I also like making artistic portraits of her as Martha the occasional collages for her business ventures like Bemer and Hemp Oil. She really enjoyed these, and was so gracious and thankful when she posted them on her blogs. I hope they helped.
One of the first things I did after making Celeste’s acquaintance was making her a pretty peach floral pillowcase. We often conversed through Facebook and I had the joyous fortune of several phone conversations with her, and we would talk health, family, and occasionally Elvis and Star Trek. She was so funny and dear, and very passionate about letting people know about wellness and the promise of Immunotherapy, which helped her battle the ovarian cancer. She was comforting to me when I was going through my time with minor breast cancer,(Stage 0 – now free) which was nothing compared to hers. But she understood my fears, and gave me comfort, which helped me through it. Forever grateful.
My only regret is that I never got to meet her personally. I couldn’t really afford a trip to Las Vegas to see her in one of her annual appearances there. If I had known this year’s would be her last, I’d have happily gone into credit debt to see her. But that is life, and I am so blessed that I got to know her in these past few years.
When I heard of her hospice care, I immediately started making a photo book for her through a photo site. It was a collection of all the funnies and posters I made for her. Sadly, although it is on its way as I write this, she’ll never see it. But I truly hope that Nazim and Cami will take comfort in it as a memorial. They have worked so hard for her, and I pray they know that all their efforts were not in vain.
Celeste’s last artistic request to me was for a poster that read “Keep Calm and Beam Me Up” I made the one below, and she was very pleased. Yet I can’t help but think that she knew the end was coming, and this was her subtle way of saying goodbye. And now that she has beamed up to the celestial heavens, I know she will be welcomed there with all the love and more that she had on Earth. Goodnight Dearest, Sweet Yeoman, my friend. You are forever in my heart. ❤

Therese with the marvelous cast of Jesus Christ Superstar. (I’m the hippie with the white daisies in my hair, 2nd row 3rd from left)
Hey Kids,
Sorry I haven’t posted in a while. I’ve been busy the past couple of months as a cast member in a local production of Jesus Christ Superstar. This weekend is the last three shows, and I gotta tell you, this has be a wonderful adventure for me, and it’s a joy to get back into a little acting again! I’m in the ensemble for the piece, and I’m playing everything from a worshiper to a fish merchant to an angel!
Jesus Christ Superstar is the classic rock opera from 1970 penned by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. It brings to life the last week in the life of Jesus and his conflicts with the priests of the Sanhedrin and his disciple Judas. It’s a powerful musical, with classic songs like I Don’t Know How To Love Him, Gethsemane, King Herod’s Song and, of course, the title number.
Our show has been the happiest hard work I’ve ever done! It’s a joy to see it come together from audition to final piece, and I’ve made many lovely new friends.
If any of you live in the Binghamton, NY area, please come check it out! You can read a review here and get tickets here.
I’ll be back next week with Trek stuff. Thanks for your patience! 🙂 -Therese
Hey Captain! Our Captain hits 86 today! Happy Birthday Bill! God bless you with another beautiful year and many many more!
BTW, Guess who I got my picture taken with last June at Star Trek: Mission New York? — I was wearing my Dr. Miranda Jones costume and had Bill hold a faux red rose with me, just like in the episode! (Silly me!) He looks perfectly flummoxed here, but it was totally worth it!
I’ll write more about my convention experiences from last year soon; very busy lately with my two jobs and also rehearsing for local production of Jesus Christ Superstar!
I made this earlier this month when I was inspired by the old Rosie the Riveter poster! I hope to make more, but not sure how it would work with other female Trek characters. But Uhura works wonderfully! Enjoy!
