This cracked me up… based on the painting Aristotle with a bust of Homer, by Rembrandt, Kirk admires a bust of his friend’s mirror image! I don’t know who made this, but bravo!

From 1978, at the height of Trek revivalism, here’s a lovely sketch by artist Alice Jones. I believe this was either from a fanzine or convention program at the time. It has marvelous intricate detail, and such photo-realism. (If anyone has the source material let me know!)
*sigh* I miss Nimoy (and Spock’s) quiet demeanor.

Just came across a bunch of these pieces featuring pop culture characters as Egyptian hieroglyphics! Kirk is naturally the pharaoh and Spock is can truly walk like an Egyptian! This is clever in so many ways; I especially love the Gorn in the corner! You can see more of these wonders here.

Here’s my Halloween ‘toon from a couple years ago – Enjoy, and have a Happy All Hallows’ Eve!
I’ve been working on this for a few weeks now -finally done! I had to get it in before October was over! I’m thinking Autumn is the favorite season on the Enterprise! I also love Bill’s face here; the gift that keeps on giving! And if you’re wondering what song Spock is singing, see this video from Cabaret. — I must have been subconsciously thinking of it when I created this! Willkommen meine Damen und Herren!

I came across this a while back, and since today would have been the 75th birthday of John Lennon, it seems the right day to present it! I think Spock would have grokked The Beatles! What a pleasure to have two of my great joys in the same artistic universe! Unfortunately, I do not know the artist, and as you can see, all the original prints of this were sold out — but at least I have this image! 🙂 (To see more Beatle-flavored Trek stuff, see here, here, here, here, here, and here.
