My Weekly Spock: Backstage at Oliver!

Another great candid I bought of Leonard on eBay; this time backstage at Oliver (1972), signing autographs for fans.  I would have loved to see him as Fagin in that show!  Sometimes when I watch the 1968 Oscar winning movie of the musical, I can imagine how Nimoy might have sung and acted it, But Ron Moody’s performance in the movie is unforgettable!

On another note, sorry I haven’t posted too much lately.  We just had a whopper of a snowstorm here! (a bit over a foot).  Hope you’re all comfy and well where you are!  I’ll post again later this week! Thanks!

Wideo Wednesday – Nimoy in Fairbanks Alaska 1972

I wish this was longer! Leonard on a campaign trip for Governor George McGovern in Fairbanks, Alaska in 1972!  He made a lot of these trips during that year, and I’ve been coming across many pics from this era.   I’ll post some soon in the My Weekly Spock column next week, but for now, enjoy that beautiful deep voice of yore.

My Weekly Spock — Election Time!

Just came across these on eBay — original photos and negatives of Mr. Nimoy (and then-wife Sandy) in 1972 campaigning for the late George McGovern (wow!) Nimoy was (and is) always of strongly aware of his civic duty. Personally, I think he’d  make an excellent president (or at least adviser)!  Be sure to vote tomorrow –it’s the only logical thing to do!
