2013 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2013 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

Madison Square Garden can seat 20,000 people for a concert. This blog was viewed about 65,000 times in 2013. If it were a concert at Madison Square Garden, it would take about 3 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Merry Christmas from TrekkerScrapbook!

Hey Kids,whoville

Just taking a minute to wish you all a beautiful Christmas and wonderful Holiday season! As Dr. Seuss said “Christmas Day is in our grasp, so long as we have hands to clasp!”  No matter which holiday you celebrate this season, I wish you all the joys of life and a blessed and happy new year to come.  I am also very thankful for all of you who visit my silly little blog from time to time, and delighted to see that subscribers here have increased at least a third since last year! I hope I bring you a little joy every time, and you have all been wonderful.  Thank you for your patronage, and have a very Happy Holiday Season! love, Therese

(btw, I am working on a Christmas- Themed Trek-Komic, but have been so busy with family and work that I haven’t had a chance to finish it yet! You should have it by January 1st, so stay tuned!)

FArFri -10/25/13 — “The Morning After”

For this week’s Fan Art, a new StarTreKomic!  I haven’t made one of these in a while… you might call it the sequel to this one.

(be sure to read Spock’s word bubble first)    Silly me!

The Morning After

btw, Sorry I haven’t posted much lately, very busy with work and family, but I’ll have some more stuff next week! Thanks for your patience, Therese 🙂

The Daily Scrapbook: EW – Shatner Speaks

Here’s today’s flashback:

From the EW magazine I’ve been posting, William Shatner (age 63 in 1994) gives a great interview (and even greater presence in that dashing photo!) He discusses Kirk vs. Picard, and Kirk’s uncanny success with the ladies.

The DailyScrapbook: 9/18/13 EW part III

Hey Kids,

Here’s the rest of Entertainment Weekly’s countdown of original Trek episodes from the special 1994 edition of EW. (Pardon the mix up last week, I accidentally forgot to include the second page of that article here, but it’s been fixed, you can see 29-51 there)  Of course you know which one came in last…(maybe it looked better on paper?)  Gotta love the sidebar about sweet Bruce Hyde (Lt. Riley), he can teach me speech communication anytime. 🙂 Happy Belated Birthday, Bruce! (September 14)

Sunday Afternoon Movie – American Grafitti

Here’s another in my Sunday Afternoon Movie Stills — This week we’ll say one last goodbye to summer with American Graffiti, the landmark film of the early 70’s which started America on a nostalgia trip for the early 60’s.  This star- studded comedy featured Ron Howard, Paul LeMat, Cindy Williams, Richard Dreyfuss, Charles Martin Smith, Candy Clark, MacKenzie Phillips, Harrison Ford, Suzanne Somers, Bo Hopkins, Kathleen Quinlan and Wolfman Jack. You can read my review here.  Enjoy the memories.

FArFri 9/13/13 ‘Nightmare at Warp 20,000″ by John Trumball

Here’s this week’s Fan Art: A brilliant mash up of The Enemy Within and Nightmare at 20,000 Feet! Since Shatner had his toe in both series, this just totally rocks!  I love the comic-strip workings of artist John Trumball — you can see more of his work here.
