Vincent Review and a whole lot more coming soon!

Hey kids, I am currently writing up my accounts and a review for the splendid play Vincent that I saw in NYC this past weekend! I should have it all up in a few hours, thanks for your patience!

And did I see Mr. Nimoy too?   Well…stay tuned. 🙂

A little travel note…

Hey Kids,  I’ll be taking a quick one-day trip to NYC tomorrow, to a VERY exciting event that I’m sure I’ll have a full report to you about next week.  I think this will help bring me back a little bit more and connect to the world again. Lets just say, I’ll be getting some ‘Spock Therapy’ in real life!  See you Monday! -Therese

Thank you all.

I just wanted to drop a note here to thank all of your who sent me messages of comfort and support at this sad time.   All of your thoughts and prayers were greatly appreciated and comforting, thank you so much.   We had a beautiful funeral for my Mom this past Monday: a true celebration of her life.  The support I’ve received has helped me, and continues to help me as I navigate through this time.   I’ll start posting here again next week.  Thanks again, Therese

The last, sadly prophetic but beautiful photo I took of my Mom, Anna, on Memorial Day, just as I was leaving her house.(several hours before the fall) She had just come out to get her daily dose of sunshine in her back yard, as she smiled, waved goodbye and said “I love you!”
I love you, Mom. Thank you for this gift. ❤

Mom.

My beautiful Mother passed away peacefully this morning (May 30) in her sleep. Although I am heartbroken, I am thankful that she is out of the horrible pain caused by her fall on Monday. Her joy and smile will be with me always, and she helped me to become the best Mom and human being I can be. My Mom has earned a beautiful eternity with Dad, my sister Maggie,  Mom’s sister Eileen, her mother, Mary, and her dear friends Flo and Rita. Thank you all for your love and prayers.Mom liked my blog a lot.   I won’t be posting here for a while.  Love, Tess.

Family Emergency

Dear Friends,    I probably won’t be posting for  a while, at least this week.  My darling 93-year old Mom (Anna) suffered a bad fall yesterday (Memorial Day) which resulted in 6 broken ribs and a very tiny tear in her heart.  Fortunately the tear was not a big as originally thought, and she is resting comfortably in the ICU.  These next 36 hours are critical to my Mom’s mortality, but we are hopeful that the tear will gently heal itself.  We’re not quite out of the woods yet, but your prayers and thoughts will be greatly appreciated these next few days.  Thank you for understanding, Therese

Me, (right) with Mom, Anna, on April 30, Therese's birthday) Please keep Mom in your prayers to heal from her bad fall. Thanks.

Happy 76th Birthday (a day early) to George Takei!

George Takei turns 76 tomorrow! (April 20th) Oh Myyyy!   I love George’s activism, humor, and compassion for the human race. (Not to mention his voice!)  I have an audio recording of George promoting the first Star Trek movie back in 1979 when he visited our local community college here.  When I figure out how to post it here I will!

A very happy birthday, George! Thanks for being a fine actor and a  wonderful human being! -Love and Blessings, Therese Takei bday 2013

Prayers for Boston, Massachussetts

Dear Readers,

Wideo Wednesday 4/10/13 Remembering Annette Funicello

Sad to see that Annette Funicello passed away Monday from complications from MS.  Now I admit, her highly nasal voice was sometimes annoying, but you couldn’t help but love her!  She and Hayley Mills are my two favorite Disney stars.  Rest in peace Annette, and I hope you’re surfing free in heaven!
