So often I’ll see ‘likes’ on my Facebook extension of this page, often within seconds of posting an article. I wonder if anyone really reads my posts or just ‘likes’ the picture posted with this link? I’d love to read comments on my posts here on the original page, or see if it has any likes here, but that doesn’t happen too often.
My recent “Caturday with Spock” post got a lot of ‘likes’ on FB, but the actual images which include a caption can’t be seen by just looking at the link. I just wonder how many of you read the entire posts or just ‘like’ the featured photo?
Anyway, I hope you’re enjoying my site and believe it or not, I’ve been running it for 9 years now! I still have many ideas for posts and I try to post 1-2 times a week (I’ve been busy with my Facemask business) Thanks for your patronage! 🙂 Stay well, safe and LLAP <3
Hi Therese, I´ve been receiving your posts in my inbox for some years now, maybe 2 or 3, not exactly sure. I´m a bit of a sporadic reader though. Some of your posts, the ones with lots of images are my favorites. I think the collages you do are really neat! But I have to confess that there are some posts that are a bit too text heavy for my taste. I do read some of those, but I´ve skipped a fair amount of those I´m afraid to say. Also, might be interesting I don´t see your posts via facebook, but as I mentioned a notification appears in my email, which takes me directly to the website. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts, I do appreciate it, even though at times I don´t do my part in reading them. Have a great remainder of the week.
HI Foozle, I appreciate your lovely comment! And don’t worry about reading everything; this is here for pure diversion (which we can use once in a while and especially now in this upside down world. Trek is like an old friend to me, and occasionally watching it and writing this blog has actually got me through some months during this awful year. I only hope that someday our beloved Earth can achieve the beautiful serenity of the Trek Universe. I still believe in love, peace, and kindness. I wish you such joy. Thanks again, Therese 🙂

Just wanted to let you know that I experience the same thing on Facebook. I comment on something and since I don’t one-sentence-posts I explain my point of view (mostly to avoid misunderstandings). Five seconds after posting I have already four likes, but no one can read that fast, especially since you have to hear the “ping”, then check who posted something and go to the poster’s profile. Even if this can be done within three seconds the remaining two seconds are not enough to read and understand.
