  1. Check out today’s Google Doodle, in honor of MLK day. And if you never have — or if it’s been a few years since you have — you might want to read Martin Luther King, Jr.’s masterful Letter From a Birmingham Jail: http://www.africa.upenn.edu/Articles_Gen/Letter_Birmingham.html

I had hoped that the letter would be a quaint relic of earlier times by 2015, but the events of Ferguson and elsewhere have shown us that this letter is, sadly, still all too relevant.

  2. Thanks for both of these links! I agree with your sentiment about now that then, Cory, sadly still true. I continue to pray for peace and understanding between all races, forever.
My younger son and I went to see ‘Selma’ this afternoon, and it was beautiful and heartbreaking, I highly recommend it. Oyelowo SHOULD have been nominated for his MLK; it was perfect.
Also, Man, the costume designer for Selma recreated Coretta’s Nobel ceremony gown perfectly. Thanks for the pic of the original.

  3. I agree with that saying, it is so true. Hate does nothing, and it takes all party’s to bring peace, Love,Toleration of all different races of people.
